The Lead Change offers Performance Coaching for Western riders, to help you succeed both inside and outside of the show pen. It's often that missing piece, that helps you put together everything you learned about horses and showing and helps you perform better in the show pen.
Some of the most common areas I help riders with:
- It works in the warm-up but it doesn't work in the show-pen
- I can't get higher, than a certain score
- My horse is afraid of the (insert object: gate, bridge, his own shadow) in the show pen, but never at home
- I would like to compete at the big shows, but I don't know how to get there
- Negative self-talk
- Keeping motivation through the whole year
- My dream is to compete, but I need help to make it happen
- Setting goals and making rock solid plans to achieve them
My approach is unique, since besides being a Mental Trainer, I'm also an active rider, trainer and judge, and I'll be able to guide you exactly to the area you need to work on. I'm more than happy to work together with your trainer if you have one and I can also give you training-related advice if you don't train with someone already.
My background story
I have always been drawn to animals. I started riding horses at 5 and by 16 I was teaching lessons and training horses part-time. It’s really been an amazing journey so far, developing from a clumsy hobby rider with no horse-background to a professional rider, coach, trainer and judge. I earned a lot of titles and medals on the way, that I'm very proud of, but most importantly, I developed personally and I learned important skills, that enabled me to turn my love, passion, and fascination for animals into my own business, that’s been running in for over 10 years.
Through my work with horses, I’ve also had the opportunity to work with a lot of people to improve their riding skills and develop personally. I’ve learned, that we all have patterns influencing our decisions, with some leading us towards success while others present us with challenges. Often the challenges and successes that show up while working with horses, also present themselves in our work or our personal lives. That's why horses, who are experts in reading body language and sensing feelings, are excellent teachers, who can help us learn about ourselves. They can help us find answers to how to lead and how to change. They can also help us get in contact with ourselves and thereby improve our human relationships, our work situation or even to find our purpose.
'The Lead Change' is my way of passing on what horses have taught me. It's a simple, down to earth approach that helps people achieve balance, building resilience, and find success in their lives.
